Grace Bialecki
is a writer, editor, workshop facilitator, and musician based in Detroit where she plays saxophone in the genre-fluid duo, river bend river.

Her writing has appeared in numerous publications including Catapult, The Millions, and Epiphany Magazine where she was a monthly columnist. She has taught hundreds for workshops for organizations such as Hugo House, DOROT, Interintellect, Detroit House Power and The Brooklyn Public Schools.

In 2018, she co-founded Thirst, an art and storytelling series with Alex Brook Lynn. Her novel Purple Gold (ANTIBOOKCLUB) was published in 2020 and her chapbook Young Thing (Rainbow Skull) was released in 2025.

Grace is a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association and a judge for the IPNE Book Awards. She is a graduate of Paris Writers’ Workshop and holds a BA in Literature from Pomona College.

Alongside her writing, Grace has completed The Power of Awareness training, as well as a ten-day Vipassana Meditation Course and multiple silent meditation retreats. She is a certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification through the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley and a 200-RYT for Hatha Yoga.
