About
Grace Bialecki is a writer, editor, workshop facilitator, and musician based in Detroit.
Her work has appeared in numerous publications including Catapult, Barrelhouse, and Epiphany Magazine where she was a monthly columnist. She has taught hundreds for workshops for organizations such as Hugo House, DOROT, Interintellect, Detroit House Power and The Brooklyn Public Schools.
In 2018, she co-founded Thirst, an art and storytelling series with Alex Brook Lynn. Her novel Purple Gold (ANTIBOOKCLUB) was published in 2020 and her chapbook Young Thing (Rainbow Skull) was release in 2025.
Grace is a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association and a judge for the IPNE Book Awards. She is a graduate of Paris Writers’ Workshop and holds a BA in Literature from Pomona College.
Alongside her writing, Grace has completed The Power of Awareness training, as well as a ten-day Vipassana Meditation Course and multiple silent meditation retreats. She is a certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification through the Greater Good Science Center at the University of California, Berkeley and a 200-RYT for Hatha Yoga.
